Week ending 12th March
Development on UMA continues with the launch of uStonks, tracking r/wallstreetbets top picks and Yoshi.cash allowing you to trade the difference between the spot and future price of BTC and ETH. There are now dashboards tracking UMA’s TVL in real time. If this bull run is starting to give you cold feet, well, we’ve got you covered there too!
uStonks is Live
Following the GameStop frenzy, where a band of merrie men on RobinHood tried to take down hedge funds, UMA announced uStonks, a synthetic token that tracks an index of the ten most commented on stocks on r/wallstreetbets, allowing open, permissionless, borderless and censorship resistant exposure to a basket of popular stocks.
This week Yam Finance announced that uStonks is now live at Degenerative.Finance, publishing a handy user guide on how to mint, manage and redeem your uStonks and a whole lot more besides. Tokens expire on 30th April… just in time for the Mayday festivities.
UMA is giving away a rare pair of Defi Socks. Ultra rare and ultra cool, they feature the logos of the Defi protocols that have made the last 12 months in crypto an amazing and exhilarating experience.
There is just enough time left to head over to our twitter and summarize UMA in just one tweet. Top replies will be voted on in our discord.
TVL Trackers
The announcement of KPI Options program is underway. The options expire to between 0.1 $UMA and 2 $UMA depending on the Total Value Locked in the protocol on 30th June when the options expire. There are not one but two dashboards, where you can check UMA’s TVL and watch the value of your options rise in real time.
Our next post will detail how to claim your options. If you haven’t yet checked whether you are eligible for our airdrop of KPI Options, one of our community members has built a simple interface for checking your wallet address.
Yoshi Cash
Fresh from the stable of Zelda.cash and Mario.cash, the YouMyChicFilA team have come up with another offering, complete with their trademark Nintendo characters, custom pointers and more very annoying music.
Behind the colourful veneer however lies a sophisticated financial product. Yoshi.cash is the first product which allows you to trade the difference between the current price of either BTC or ETH and the price the futures market predicts it to be without having to go through a centralised exchange.
