HackBG Receives Chainlink Community Grant to Create Full-Stack Web 3.0 Demo and End-To-End Documentation

The Chainlink Community Grant Program provides financial resources to the many development teams and researchers building a more functional, accessible, and socially impactful Chainlink Network. In order to fuel the growth of the Chainlink community and accelerate the adoption of hybrid smart contracts, the Chainlink grant program continues to support work that makes it easier, faster, and more efficient to build, test, and interact with new smart contract applications and decentralized oracle networks.

In order to meet this goal, we actively support initiatives that help new smart contract developers join the ecosystem and assist in simplifying the development of hybrid smart contract applications. Providing access to full-stack, open-source examples that highlight end-to-end integrations of Chainlink oracle services into both smart contracts and front-end interfaces is critical to onboarding new blockchain developers. Such resources can be referenced by developers to support their work at every step in the process of creating their own decentralized applications.

To help provide this style of documentation to the smart contract and Chainlink developer ecosystems, we are excited to announce that HackBG, a distributed ledger technology (DLT) development and consulting company, has been awarded a Chainlink Community Grant to create an open-source and end-to-end decentralized application demo that showcases Chainlink oracle services in a fully working scenario at both the user interface and smart contract levels. With this resource, developers can gain insights into how to rapidly develop their own decentralized applications and even use the demo as the initial framework for launching their own Chainlinked project.

The front-end of the demo will showcase a single page application written in modern TypeScript with support for standard Web 3.0 wallets like Metamask and host pages highlighting data from Chainlink Price Feeds and Chainlink Proof of Reserve, feature an image that can be changed using Chainlink VRF, and provide an interface to allow users to kick off an Any API request to the Chainlink Network. The repository will contain the set of Solidity smart contracts that power each page of the application and the underlying Chainlink API calls used, as well as the unit tests, Hardhat network deployment tests, and testnet deployment tests necessary to ensure hyper-reliability and end-to-end tamper-resistance.

HackBG is a blockchain development and consulting firm that provides a diversity of services ranging from the development of blockchains and smart contracts to in-depth testing, validation of systems, and technical support. Backed by a team of industry experts, HackBG previously received a Chainlink grant for the native integration of Chainlink oracles on the Terra blockchain. With its expertise proven through this previous work on a highly anticipated chain integration, we believe HackBG is a suitable candidate for the creation of a full-stack developer walkthrough guide and example repository.

“We’re excited to be awarded a Chainlink Community Grant for the creation of an end-to-end demo of a Chainlinked front-end website and on-chain smart contracts,” said HackBG CEO Milen Radkov. “As an experienced development firm focused on blockchain technology, we look forward to creating an open-source repository resource that can help onboard the next generation of dApp developers and teach them how to safely and efficiently integrate Chainlink oracles into their Web 3.0 applications.”

Through the Chainlink Community Grants program, we look forward to continuing to empower Chainlink ecosystem teams, developers, researchers, and social impact projects who are researching and building key tools and infrastructure that accelerate the development of hybrid smart contracts, secure oracle networks, and other impactful technologies that improve the world. We will continue supporting the community as a key driver of Chainlink’s rapid growth, because only together can we make universally connected, hybrid smart contracts into the dominant form of digital agreement and build a world based on cryptographic truth.
