Shiba Inu supporters have been signing a petition titled âKindly request of Robinhood to list Shiba Inu Coin,â in mass. The petition is aimed at pushing Robinhood, which is a commission-free trading platform, to list the coin.
So far over 241K backers have signed the petition. The target is to collect at least 300K signatures from supporters.
The petition mentions that Robinhood has already listed Dogecoin (DOGE), which is Shiba Inuâs rival meme-coin and the listing was a huge success for Robinhood especially following this yearâs trading frenzy around DOGE coin.
Robinhood currently working on launching wallets
While the Shiba Inu community is working hard to get the coin listed on Robinhood, Robinhood is busy attending to another demand from the cryptocurrency community and that is the need for a safe, secure and simple way of storing digital assets.
The trading platform has already launched beta testing for its wallets and already over one million people have signed up for their waitlist.
While many argue that Robinhood has been taking too long to launch its much-awaited wallets, The chief operating officer Christine Hall assured people that it is all for their benefit. Hall revealed this on social media by saying,
âTransferring crypto on Robinhood is safe, secure, and simple. Many people will be transacting on-chain for the first time and keeping your coins safe is our #1 priority.â
Hall also added that the crypto wallets were just the beginning of the firmâs commitment to making cryptocurrencies accessible to all. She said that the firm has already launched several recurring investments in crypto.
Shiba Inu rising popularity
Shiba Inu has been seeing an exponential rise in its popularity, especially in the last few months. Earlier this month, its popularity briefly overtook that of DOGE and BTC on social media.
Shiba Inu coin (SHIB) holders also crossed the 700,000 mark last month; an achievement that the coinâs community was happy to celebrate on social media.
