Latest news about Bitcoin and all cryptocurrencies. Your daily crypto news habit.
Dear Dom, thanks for taking the time to join me in this interview to educate our community on the Rainbow Token project. Can you give us a brief introduction to you? What is your story, dating back as far as you wish?
I am a software engineer and programmer, having started programming when I was 12 years old. I first got into the world of technology through video games and quickly became attuned to building and creating things through the lens of programming.
Why did you get involved in the cryptocurrency industry, and where do you think the industry will be in 5–10 years?
Cryptocurrency has always been something that has fascinated me; however, as a lot of you are probably aware it’s a 24/7 gig.
I think in the next 5–10 years blockchain technology will be part of our everyday lives. Every day people are working on innovating in this space, and new consensus algorithms are coming out helping make these decentralized systems faster, safer, and more accessible.
Rainbow Token’s lead Dev and Founder: Dom
That’s amazing. Now can you give us an introduction to the Rainbow Token project and its history?
Rainbow Token as a cryptocurrency was ”coined” in July over the span of a week. I had contracted COVID-19, and was housebound for 10 days and decided to do something productive with my time and I developed the whitepaper for it, pitched it to my team, and then the rest was history.
So how did you get started with Rainbow Token, and why? Early on, did you see an opportunity to fill a void in the market?
A lot of tokens right now are run by inexperienced developers or teams of marketers that don’t really understand the true tech that they are playing with. In addition to that, because crypto is largely coupled to money, you get a lot of scammers and rug pulls. Lastly, no other token was making an active difference using methods of charity. Due to all of the above, we knew that we could develop something that stood out.
What have been the biggest challenges for you and the Rainbow Token since you started the project?
The biggest challenge for me has been trying to balance my life between my other job and my social life. As I have already said, crypto is 24/7, well-running a crypto project is 24/7. All of the responsibility and liability rests on you, and at the end of the day if something goes wrong — you are the person that people are going to come after. Fortunately, though, I live for it and it’s something that gives me purpose and meaning to life — it also helps I like a challenge!
Understood. Now what has been your greatest achievement thus far, and what has been the biggest failure or setback personally or in the history of Rainbow Token?
My greatest achievement apart from creating a successful project with an amazing community has to probably be able to positively change people who are less fortunate lives. One of the first charities we donated to ’Rainbow Trust’ wrote us a letter which was really touching saying how much it meant to them, that is just one reason why I love the Charity protocol. I can’t say we’ve had any failures thus far and hopefully none to come, touch wood!
What is the next step for Rainbow Token in the next 1–2 years?
The next step for RAINBOW is to create Kingdoms of Agard out NFT game which I am very excited about, and past this, we have some truly big products that we want to focus on.
Where can people support your business? Other than that, thank you for your time — any final words?
Our community is open to everyone, come join the telegram and say hello, we are always about! If you are wanting to launch your own token we’d love to help and accommodate you as much as we can, we know how hard it is getting a project off its feet!
