DFINITY Developer Grant Program Awards Grants to Over 150 Internet Computer Projects

The grants support the building of Web3 dapps, DeFi, games, NFTs, social media, metaverse projects, and tooling and infrastructure.

It’s been a busy start to 2022 for the Internet Computer ecosystem, which continues to see explosive growth. The recent launch of Sonic marked the beginning of lightning fast DeFi with zero gas fees entirely on chain, and the impending launches of ICPSwap and InfinitySwap are fast approaching. All three projects were recipients of grants from the DFINITY Developer Grant Program, which the DFINITY Foundation inaugurated last May to catalyze the growth of the Internet Computer ecosystem and support the building of dapps, tooling, and infrastructure on the network using canister smart contracts.

The Developer Grant Program makes the Internet Computer accessible and approachable by providing support to promising developers and teams located around the world. Applications are currently being accepted at dfinity.org/grants.

Since the launch of the program, more than 150 projects have been awarded resources to begin building interoperable Web3 dapps, DeFi platforms, games, NFTs, social media, and metaverse projects, as well as developer tooling and infrastructure.

• CantorSpace TeamUp: Matchmaking platform for filmmaking community.
• CetoSwap: Decentralized tokenized asset management platform.
• CheersLand: Play-to-earn game.

• dApp Man’s Switch: Decentralized dead man’s switch on the Internet Computer.
