Raelic, the social network that enables users to make their memories timeless by minting them as NFTs, announces the launch of its app for Android and iOS. The mobile-first app is poised to make NFTs social – from curation and display to interaction and discovery elements. The NFT space can be puzzling and intimidating to newcomers. Many influencers, brands, celebrities, and everyday social media users don’t know which platforms will best meet their NFT needs due to the tech-heavy minting process, limited payment options, and the niche community of the blockchain-savvy. By turning NFTs into more of a social experience, newcomers and Web3 natives alike can create communities around their shared passions.
The raelic app’s intuitive and elegant UX/UI design offers a feed reminiscent of Instagram’s – but where the users’ streamlined feed and curated profile scrolls with photos and videos that have been minted as NFTs – aka, “raelics.” Raelic is a single seamless solution to finding and following friends. Its discovery features and in-app tools let users decide how they want to customize and curate what other raelic users are shown.
Users will be able to buy and sell their raelics on the app as well, with zero commission, or simply explore their feed and connect without minting, buying, or selling. Additional features include the importing of existing wallets, as well as the ability to pay for transactions using fiat (£/$/€) and to mint NFTs on multiple EVM-compatible blockchains: Ethereum ($ETH), Klaytn ($KLAY), Polygon ($MATIC), and Binance Smart Chain ($BNB).
Unlike with its competitors in Web2, the content on raelic is owned by the people creating it. So even though sharing special moments digitally is not new, with raelic, users can now truly own their moments and transfer ownership to fans, friends, and family whom they may resonate with. This creates a whole new world of opportunities for content creators.
Imagine a transparent and equitable social network that offers much more than a page to showcase your collection, where users can express themselves and their opinions while directly communicating with other interested users. The raelic app changes the way people share their experiences online and re-frames NFTs as more than a JPEG. For example, let’s say you found yourself sharing a hotel elevator with Winona Ryder and she let you take a selfie with her. Using raelic, mint it as a memory forever on the blockchain as quickly and easily as posting that photo in your feed. Or, if you’re Winona Ryder, you can video yourself behind the scenes of the much anticipated Stranger Things Season Five, mint it as an NFT using the app, and then share it with your fans, even selling it and assigning royalties to be paid to you whenever someone resells it.
“Pictures are temporary, raelics are timeless,” said Andrea Castiglione, Co-Founder of raelic. “We understand that NFTs can actually serve as symbols of belonging, unity, and passion, and our raelic app is poised to be the social layer that allows communities to aggregate around their passions.”
The raelic app is now available to download on the App Store and Google Play.
