First placing of miners to Sabre56’s new hosting facilities, as company strategically shifts to building, and hosting at its own US data centers
Sabre56, the leading hosting provider and digital asset mining consultancy, announces its completion of a milestone hosting deal with GEM Mining, the institutional-grade Bitcoin (BTC) mining company.
The agreement will see Sabre56 initially host 4,510 of GEM Mining’s BTC miners in Sabre56’s newly constructed hosting facilities in Wyoming. Half of the miners will come online in May, and the remaining miners in June.
The deal follows Sabre56’s February announcement of its US$35 million funding agreements to build 150MW of Tier 0 data centers to support blockchain infrastructure. The Company is rapidly transitioning from consulting on mining projects to constructing and hosting its own facilities, and today’s news is the first among the waitlist of miners ready to take hosting services in the new and future facilities that are currently under construction.
Sabre56 is excited to collaborate with, and host, a company that shares its core values - which pay tribute to the military backgrounds of both organizations. Sabre56 and GEM Mining are also aligned in their dedication to lead the digital asset mining industry into its next phase.
Phil Harvey, CEO of Sabre56, said:
“We are excited to welcome our new partner - GEM Mining. Our two companies are united in our vision for the mining industry, our core values of how to achieve it, and the pursuit of excellence taught in the military.
“Sabre56 is rapidly implementing a strategic shift to build full-service hosting facilities with the highest technical and environmental standards. This new focus is a function of success and we look forward to announcing more hosting partnerships. This initial placing of 4,510 machines by GEM Mining proves our ability to support the market’s most mature players and provide industry-leading hosting solutions.”
John S. Warren, CEO of GEM Mining, commented:
“GEM Mining is built for robust, long-term growth to drive the digital asset mining industry towards maturity. As the United States consolidates its status as the Bitcoin mining capital of the world we have - in Sabre56 - found a partner operating in the same ‘cut-to-the-chase’ way. We are delighted to place our machines with a hosting provider of such outstanding capabilities.”
Complementing its rapidly growing hosting business, Sabre56 is also a leading project management consultant for digital asset companies. The Company delivers the world’s most technologically advanced, efficient and cost-effective data centers, having delivered several hundred MWs of computing power across North America, Eurasia, the Nordics and the Middle East.
Sabre56 has a proactive environmental and social impact strategy with its facilities following the strictest regulatory standards, aligned with GEM Mining’s commitment to environmentally responsible growth. Built for maximum energy efficiency and in close cooperation with utility providers, Sabre56’s data centers also enable load shedding to benefit the grids they operate on.
