Money Button CEO Ryan X Charles Supports Bitcoin SV
Ryan X Charles, CEO of Money Button, talked about the current division in the market between Bitcoin SV and Bitcoin ABC. He has also given reasons about why to chose Bitcoin Cash SV rather than Bitcoin (BTC).
Charles said that he found Bitcoin back in 2011, becoming obsessed about it and starting to work on it some years later. About the Bitcoin Cash division, he said that Bitcoin SV is the closest thing available to the original Bitcoin protocol. He said that he is talking about the original economic protocol rather than the code itself.
Ryan X Charles said about it:
“The first reason is simply just the idea that this is the closest thing we have to the original protocol. I don’t think there was anything wrong with the original protocol. The more I’ve learned about Bitcoin over time and worked through the possible scenario, I’m convinced the original protocol will work at scale.”
One of the most interesting things is how the P2P system works. An individual sends a transaction signing it and the receiver confirms that everything is okay by giving it to the miners that process it. In this way, it is possible to be sure that there are no double spendings in the blocks.
Of course, there are other positive things about Bitcoin. It has a limited supply capped at 21 million coins and the inflation schedule allows the space to have knowledge over what’s coming in the next years.
Charles has also commented on the idea of Bitcoin as sound money for the entire world. He mentioned that one of the main challenges that the crypto space is facing is related to the limits that Bitcoin has. This is an economic challenge that must be addressed. Moreover, the next issue is to get rid of the DDoS attack vectors that usually occur. For him, the closest cryptocurrency to the Bitcoin protocol is Bitcoin SV.
Bitcoin SV is being baked by Craig Wright and Calvin Ayre. Bitcoin ABC, instead, is supported by Roger Ver and Jihan Wu.
