With the ARK Deployer, everyone can now become a blockchain developer. By upgrading to version 2.0, the team has managed to further simplify the process and has moved the slogan āPoint. Click. Blockchainā evenĀ closer.
About ARK and ARKĀ Deployer
Ark is a joint project of different developers from all over the world. It was launched in October 2016 by then 27 members. Today the core team consists of 23 people. The team is one of the most active development groups in the Blockchain world and has achieved a lot until today. The goal of the project was to create a set of tools to create an ecosystem of interoperable blockchains and to make blockchain technology accessible to a broadĀ mass.
Ark uses the Delegated Proof of Stake consensus algorithm. Overall, the Ark blockchain has much in common with Bitshares, Lisk or Crypti. This is because some of the Ark developers have been involved in building these blockchains. The most interesting feature of the All-in-One solution is probably the Ark Deployer. They allow the user to create his own blockchain in 3 simple steps, which is completely tailored to his needs and intentions.
The basis of Ark Deployer is an Ark clone, which can be connected to external blockchains and the Ark blockchain via SmartBridges. In this way, the platform can ensure communication and exchange between different chains. The platform supports 18 different programming languages, so there should be something for everyone. This is in line with Arkās philosophy, as the team wants to reach as many users as possible.
Blockchain development in 3Ā steps
As already mentioned, using the Ark Deployer is very easy. If you have some basic knowledge, you can start immediately and build your own blockchain within 30 minutes. This requires 3Ā steps.
In the first step, the user can read the basics and gets a step-by-step guide about the process of setup and important tips and hints. Among other things, the guide explains how to set up GitHub, which server options are available, what to consider when choosing a server, and much more that should be clarified inĀ advance.
In the second step, the actual development of the own Blockchain begins. The user indicates his level of knowledge. The more advanced the user is, the more personalization options are made available toĀ him.
- Beginners: Customers can give their bridge chain a name, choose a symbol and ticker for their own token, specify address prefixes and server addresses.
- Advanced: Users can also specify the number of forgers, block times, block sizes, block rewards, transfer fees, and other customizations. Customers can specify their own parameters or use the values proven by Ark Deployer. This speeds up the setup process and guarantees that the blockchain created will run smoothly.
- Professional: The entire setup can be customized down to the last detail. In the third and last step, the only thing left to do is to launch the new blockchain. Among other things, the installation script must be installed on the previously set up Genesis node. Checking if the given parameters work and the blockchain runs smoothly as well as the subsequent setup and linking of an Ark Wallet with the new blockchain are also part of thisĀ step.
For the last step of the Ark Deployer, there is also a detailed manual, which gives the user the necessary help.

This is new in ARK DeployerĀ 2.0
Since Ark Core has been changed and now uses the v2 codebase, the developers wanted to make sure that the Ark Deployer is adapted to the changes. The previous version of Deployer was more sophisticated. In addition, the new version is no longer limited to a single bridge chain network and has new configuration files for Devnet, Mainnet and Test Network. This allows users to better focus on developing their blockchain. Link: ARK Whitepaper
ARK Deployer: Your own blockchain in a few minutes was originally published in Hacker Noon on Medium, where people are continuing the conversation by highlighting and responding to this story.
