Latest news about Bitcoin and all cryptocurrencies. Your daily crypto news habit.
Dear Brickblock contributors,
As you may already be aware, we have made the decision to deploy a new smart contract that will distribute your Brickblock Tokens (BBK). This means the already distributed tokens have no value and are not tradable.
A post-mortem explaining the process of deploying a new smart contract will be published soon by our development team.
We understand your frustration about the delay in receiving tokens and would like to offer a reward for your patience. Therefore, contributors who followed the rules of our ICO (contributed from an address for which they own the private key and not from an exchange) will receive a 10% bonus on their contribution. This means you will receive a Brickblock Token amount proportioned to 110% of what you contributed.
Many questions about receiving Brickblock Tokens have been asked in our Telegram channel. We have provided answers to some of your most frequently asked questions below:
When will I receive my new Brickblock Tokens (BBK)?
Brickblock Tokens will be distributed in four tiers:
- Ethereum contributors who own the private key for their address (i.e. did not contribute from an exchange).
- Bitcoin and Litecoin contributors who have signed their contribution address
- Contributors who sent funds from an exchange. You must fill out this form so we can try to verify your identity and send your tokens.
- FIAT currency contributors via Cubits. You must fill out this form before we are able to send your tokens.
We expect token distribution to begin at the end of January/early February following an audit of our updated smart contract. Please note that any delay in receiving them does not put you at a disadvantage. Brickblock Tokens cannot be traded until the end of the final ICO period in Q1Â 2018.
What happens to the Brickblock Tokens (BBK) that have already been distributed?
The Brickblock Tokens (BBK) you received from the previous contract are not active and therefore cannot be traded. They will remain in your wallet, though only the Brickblock Tokens (BBK) received from the new contract will be usable on the Brickblock platform and tradable on exchanges. A new address for the valid Brickblock Tokens will be shared once the contract is deployed.
What is the status of Bitcoin/Litecoin contributions?
Those who contributed Bitcoin or Litecoin need to send us a signature proving they own the address that they contributed from. Please read our instructions for how to do this or go straight to the signature submission page. After deploying the new contract, we will distribute Brickblock Tokens every Monday to those who have successfully completed the signature process.
What is the status of contributions made from exchanges?
Those who contributed from an exchange will need to send us additional information so we can verify their identity and contribution address. Please submit this information by filling in the form linked below:

*Deadline: January 15, 2018
*Please keep in mind that we reserve the right to decline token distribution to addresses from exchanges that canât be verified, as we mentioned during the process not to send funds from addresses for which you do not own the private key.
What is the process for Cubits contributors to receive their Brickblock Tokens (BBK)?
We are currently working with Cubits to verify contributorsâ information. Please fill in the form linked below so we can complete this process and begin distributing your tokens:

I received an error message when submitting the signature for my Bitcoin/Litecoin address.
We have been made aware that some contributors are receiving an error message after submitting their information on our signature submission page. This could be the result of having contributed from a Multisig or SegWit address. Unfortunately, our API is unable to verify Multisig or SegWit addresses. We ask that you please submit your information through the form linked below so we can manually verify your address and distribute your tokens.

*Keep in mind this case is not guaranteed. It is also possible that the information submitted was incorrect (i.e. an invalid signature input).
When will Brickblock Tokens (BBK) be supported by Jaxx?
Jaxx will support Brickblock Tokens at the conclusion of our final ICO period at the latest. Weâre working together with Jaxx to make this available earlier but cannot guarantee a timeline at the moment.
When will bounty participants receive their Brickblock Tokens (BBK)?
Bounty participants will receive their Brickblock Tokens shortly after we have distributed tokens to our token pre-sale and ICO contributors. Another bounty campaign will launch to coincide with our final ICO period in Q1 of 2018.
When will I receive my bonus tokens?
Your bonus tokens will arrive at the same time as the Brickblock Tokens you purchased. This will arrive as one transaction.
When will Brickblock Tokens (BBK) be listed on exchanges?
Brickblock Tokens (BBK) will be listed on exchanges at the conclusion of our final ICO period in Q1 of 2018. BBK will not be tradable until then, so any delay in receiving them will have no effect on their value.
Can I still buy Brickblock Tokens (BBK)?
Yes, Brickblock Tokens will be sold one final time during a second ICO period in Q1 of 2018.
