Astar Network is proud to be an early pioneer in the use of Polygon’s zero-knowledge technology and Chain Development Kit to enter the Ethereum ecosystem. Significance of the launch
Astar zkEVM provides web3 projects and enterprises with a secure, scalable, and gas-efficient platform leveraging the security and rich toolset of the Ethereum ecosystem. As the first zero-knowledge EVM chains powered by the Polygon CDK (Chain Development Kit), Astar zkEVM provides exposure to Ethereum’s expansive developer resources and industry-standard infrastructure providers.
Some of the things which users will have access to on the new platform solution are:
- Quickswap: The leading DEX on Polygon
- LayerZero: An omnichain interoperability protocol that creates the full interoperability between Astar zkEVM and the Astar parachain
- The Graph: An indexing protocol for organizing blockchain data and making it easily accessible with GraphQL
- Rarible: The aggregated NFT marketplace for Ethereum NFTs and Astar zkEVM NFTs
- Dew: One of the biggest NFT marketplaces in the Polygon ecosystem
- Startale: Startale Labs, Astar’s leading web3 infra provider.
Yoki Origins
The launch will be followed by a launch campaign entitled “Yoki Origins”. In this gamified experience, users will be able to discover Astar Network’s original characters, inspired by Japanese “Yokis”, together with more than 40 web3 projects, creators, and enterprises. Immediately following the mainnet launch, users are invited to collect and upgrade Yokis while projects on Astar zkEVM. The campaign is also designed to support social logins and credit card payments, allowing anyone to participate even without prior knowledge of web3.
