Anybody who has ever tried to find a domain name for their brand-new website know the pain of actually finding one. After hours of searching everything you can think of you find that the domain is either taken or some jerk is holding onto the domain to try to sell it for thousands of dollars orĀ more.
Finding that new domain name can be a serious pain. There are some random name generators out on the web, but most all are next to useless when it comes to fining a new domain name. 90% of them either give you domains that are already taken or try to upsell you on other products. For years now GoDaddy and Shopify where kind of your only option. But a new website has come up that has a lot of potential called Pokiecat.com.
Using Godaddy.comās URL checker is pretty hit and miss; its sole purpose is to try to up sell you or get you to buy āpremium domainsā (the ones being held onto being sold why overpriced).
Shopify.com has a decent random generator but also is targeted to try to get you to buy āpremium domainsā.
Pokiecat.com is unique. It doesnāt try to sell you anything, In fact itās a completely free service. It allows you to search for randomly generated domain names with many different extensions, and only shows you the domain names that nobody owns. This means that not only is it guaranteed to be unique, but no more finding that perfect domain name only to find out that some jerk is holding onto it to try to sell it for $5000 orĀ more.
Itās pretty straight forwarded and easy to use with a 3-stepĀ process:
Step 1:
First, you need to scroll down to the PokieCat URL Generator from. It will look something likeĀ this:
Pokiecat Url Generator FormStep 2:
Next, fill out the PokieCat Random URL Generator form. If you want a certain word to be included in the domain name, simply include it in the first text box. After that, select either 2, 3, or 4 words to be included in the Domain Name from the first drop down. Lastly, select the type of domain you would like e.g.Ā .com,Ā .net,Ā .gov etc. from the final drop down then click on the āGenerate Domain NameāĀ button.
It will look something likeĀ this:
URL names to look for and test each URL created to only show you the domains that no one currently owns in a nicely formatted list. If you donāt find a name you like, simply hit the āGenerate Domain Nameā button again to get anotherĀ batch.
And this worked out perfectly for this demonstration as the very first result was TacoPuke.com. LoveĀ it!
Because Its random, some of the names are just gibberish. But some of the gibberish as we can see can be funny. I mean, check out this nextĀ batch:

You can be the proud owner of BeeDeva.com or VampireWinkle.com, maybe not as funny as TacoPuke.com, but you get the idea. I can easily see this turning into a drinking game ofĀ sorts.
Pokiecat.com is completely free to use and as far as I can see is completely supported by affiliate links to BlueHost hosting and lead generation to Tribe Media House. Itās worth checking out if only for a cheapĀ laugh.
As a disclaimer, I have to say that I did built this site for PokieCat for free to have my company placed in the leads generation section. Projects that come to me do not help or support PokieCat, but instead are my payment for making the site. Please support PokieCat first by using Tribe Media House for your website needs. My company does not take on normal website projects or anything WordPress, only apps and applications, Tribe Media House handles all that design and marketing stuff.
