BSO, the Ethernet-based cloud and hosting network, and Kaiko, a leading firm providing institutional grade cryptocurrency market data, have announced an apparent partnership that is set to establish a real-time market data that directly connects clients from different crypto exchanges.
Gemini, the digital asset exchange owned by the Winklevoss brothers, is the first crypto platform that will rely on the real-time market data provided by the two companies. The first implementation on Gemini will have BSO deliver a live-streaming data feed from the Equinix NY4 to the investors to utilize in their trading strategies on the digital asset exchange.
On the other hand, Kaiko will provide its clients with the ability to access their data directly thanks to a cross-connect between the Gemini data servers with an institutional grade data center. The connection will also feature a second stage that extends its coverage to have additional exchanges act as data for market participants. That will grow the size of the data feed, and ultimately increase the knowledge center of the real-time network present.
Kaiko's CEO, Ambre Soubiran comments on how the partnership could improve trading data and improve the markets' efficiency.
“Market participants in the digital assets industry need transparent and reliable trading data to succeed.”
“Whether they are a crypto fund or traditional institutional investor, it is essential to have clear visibility and access to high quality and granular data in this complex market. We are delighted to be working with BSO to bring live crypto exchange data to our clients, “
Soubrian continued.
However, Gemini is the only exchange mentioned to be expecting to use the data network presented by BSO and Kaiko. The decision not to reveal other platforms expected in the fold is best explained by Michael Ourabah, Chief Executive at BSO. He gives insights by saying,
“Our network is engineered to deliver institutional quality and service, and we're proud to support the cryptocurrency community by enabling them to connect to the world's financial ecosystem with minimal investment- anywhere in the world.”
He further expresses the delight at partnering with Kaiko and what customers should expect with the anticipated network collaboration.
“Working with Kaiko, we are very pleased to be able to add real-time cryptocurrency data and extend the available solutions we are delivering from the connected exchanges to include this growing and increasingly important asset class.”
