The Enterprise Ethereum Alliance is aiming to spread their work throughout the world through partnerships and full immersion in the economies involved. In a recent press release, the company revealed a new location for a regional office in China.
The press release stated that the new head of the regional office is VP of engineering at Wanchain, Weija Zhang. His responsibilities will include
“supporting the advancement and adoption of EEA’s standards by taking part in local hackathons, workshops, training sessions, and conferences.”
According to the website, the EEA is entirely run by its members as a “standards organization whose charter is to develop open, blockchain specifications that drive harmonization and interoperability for businesses and consumers worldwide.” With the new office in China, EEA members located in the country should be able to leverage the resources and standards of the EEA.
Last year in October, new specifications were released by the EEA, hoping to create standards that would apply to developers that are using private versions of the Ethereum blockchain. During the same money, Hyperledger announced a collaboration with EEA, in which both entities joined each other’s organizations as “Associate Members.” The decision was directed at supporting the adoption of enterprise blockchain around the world. Much of Hyperledger’s work is targeted at the cross-industry blockchain technologies around the world and their development.
