Amidst the frenzy of over-simplified cash grab crypto gaming projects, few have stood out from the crowd with their uniqueness. One of those games is DoRac, a Play-to-Earn dog racing game set inside a space-themed metaverse, the DoRac Metaverse.
What sets them apart from traditional and boring crypto racing games is their unique MMORPG roaming experience directly integrating into the DoRac Metaverse. Players can freely explore the metaverse, littered with side quests and consistent racing tournaments and championships.
On top of this, the metaverse also contains community-based metrics, such as the fastest racer or most wins, to further inspire players and their dogs to compete for the number one spot.
What Is DoRac?
As mentioned above, DoRac is not your traditional P2E crypto game. Each player-owned dog is its own NFT located on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC), which can be raised and trained to be the fastest dog around. Players can also breed two dogs together to deepen the strength of their pack and race more dogs.
Races are won and lost depending upon the attributes of each dog, not limited to: Weight, Agility, Stamina and Luck. The founders have announced three more attributes already in the pipeline, which will directly affect a dog’s ability to win a race.
Attributes are not the only factor surrounding the win:
-
RNG technology affects if a dog wins or losses, as well as
-
A player's strategic approach to the ‘extra stamina’ usage system.
Each race within the DoRac Metaverse will consist of 8-12 dogs, all competing for the win, hoping to receive more than just the satisfaction of the victory.
Apart from competitiveness and the glory of winning, dogs which win races will be rewarded in one of the two tokens linked to the DoRac ecosystem:
1. Native Token $DORC
$DORC is the native token of DoRac and deflationary in nature, used to train and feed your dogs and even compete in races. $DORCs initial circulating market cap is estimated at $70,000 with a max supply of 1.5 billion tokens.
2. Utility Token $DRT
Working in conjunction with their native token will be $DRT, partly used to cover dog breeding fees whilst doubling as a token used for free race entries and race rewards.
Both tokens will be essential to participating in the DoRac metaverse and the ample activities and services which follow. Read their in-depth whitepaper here to learn all about token taxes, supplies, and burns.
The current tokenomics of DoRac mean that at IDO, there will be a small circulating market cap, offering opportunities for investors and gamers alike.
Having partnered with several large gaming guilds such as Triple Crown, BreedFi and AxB, the team at DoRac is expecting a large player base at launch!
Smart NFTs
Another standout feature within the DoRac ecosystem is their usage of Smart NFTs. As each dog is its own NFT, and its attributes are constantly changing through training, how would their in-game attributes match the NFT's attributes on-chain?
Traditionally, users would have to re-mint their dog NFTs every time an attribute change is made, which is tiresome and expensive as gas fees quickly rack up. The team at DoRac instead turned to Smart NFTs, allowing attributes to dynamically change on-chain without any re-minting!
Conclusion
With a promising game boasting unique MMORPG features for its genre, DoRac is a crypto game with great potential for 2022. With a planned IDO and release in Q3 of 2022, be sure not to miss DoRac!
